On 19th of October 2016, another enhancement was made to the Friends of Bilbrook Jubilee Wood as part of the ongoing Corporate Social Responsibly project. Two information boards now inform visitors of the history, layout, facilities, flora and fauna you can see in the wood. One of the boards, closest to the entrance on Watery Lane has been set at a low height for wheelchair users to be able to read it. The graphics which were designed and produced by South Staffordshire Council and even contain a Q Code so readers can scan it with their smart phones and it takes them straight to the Friends of Bilbrook’s website. These particular boards were selected as we will be able to swap out the information as the wood changes and we discover more about what’s living there.
When you next visit, please take a moment to find out about Bilbrook’s new beauty spot and the amazing wildlife which lives there. Not bad for a wood that’s only 4 years old.
A big thank you to Vinci Construction and Jaguar Land Rover for making this happen.
