New bench added to forest classroom

Soon after the forest classroom was used by our local schools, we realised that we didn’t have enough seats to accommodate all the children.  Thanks to a generous donation from Mid Counties Co-op in Codsall, we were able to add an extra bench thus completing the circle.  Once again we called on the services of the Forest Schools Birmingham and local wood mill owner Mat who produced another excellent bench made from locally sourced green oak.  The new bench means that when the children from Bilbrook Middle and Lane Green First School visit the Jubilee Wood, they will all now have somewhere to sit on in the forest classroom.

Thank you Co-op

We would like to thank Mid Counties Co-op for making this possible with their donation.  The remainder of the money will be put towards buying more trees for our ongoing Street Trees project.
