Balsam Bashing with Bilbrook Codsall Cubs

On June 24th we were joined by the Bilbrook Codsall Cubs for some ‘balsam bashing’ along the banks of the Moat Brook. Himalayan Balsam is an invasive species of plant which is threatening our wildlife and especially our native plants.

Nettles galore

On what was a very warm, muggy evening with a lot of nettles in the way, the cubs worked really hard and we ‘bashed’ down hundreds of balsam plants.

Thank you

Thank you Bilbrook Cubs, we know you enjoyed it as much as we did and hope to see you again soon.
