Thank to the volunteers from Jaguar Land Rover at i54 who spent the morning with us on 12th July 2019 pulling out Himalayan Balsam on the Moat Brook.
Habitat for Wildlife
The volunteers made a massive difference and those plants which they pulled up won’t be able to reproduce. This will mean our indigenous plants will be able to recolonise the area and provide habitat for our beleaguered wildlife.
Over the years, thanks to all the volunteers who have helped us, we are moving further downstream and slowly, but surely, eradicating the Himalayan balsam from our part of Moat Brook.
