Once again the great and good gathered on the Woodman car park for the Annual Great British Spring Clean. It was a great turnout, one of our best.
Once we’d briefed everyone, issued out PPE and litter picking equipment, teams were sent out into the village to do their best. This year wasn’t as bad as previous years, probably because of the sterling work the WV8 Wombles had been doing prior to the event but nonetheless, there was still lots collected.
Two hours later, once everyone was back in and all equipment put away, we retired to the Woodman Pub, where the Landlord, Craig, had put on hot drinks for us all.
We would like to thank all our volunteers who gave up their precious time to help and Craig and his team for hosting us and letting us use the Woodman car park for the event.
If you would like to help keep Bilbrook and Codsall tidy throughout the year, you can join the WV8 Wombles, a Facebook group, where you can go out in your own time and collect as little or as much litter as you want. If you would like more details please search for WV8 Wombles on Facebook or get in touch with us using our enquiry service on our homepage.
