Litter is a blight on the landscape which affects Bilbrook as it does everywhere else in the country. We hold regular community litter picks in the village in association with Bilbrook Parish Council as well as our members carrying out their own. We have collected more than 400 bags of rubbish over the last 5 years. We have litter picking equipment available to lend to residents if they want to have litter picks of their own. We'd always like to do more, but with low attendance to these events we aren’t always able to clean up all the areas of Bilbrook we'd like to. We will continue in the pursuit of creating a clean and healthy Bilbrook for all residents. Did you know it costs the UK taxpayer nearly £1Bn a year to clear up litter? Imagine what better things that money could be spent on?
